Description
Pottery for parties, potlucks, and picnics!
This class will focus on wheel throwing and hand-building techniques to create functional pottery intended for gatherings. Projects will include specific forms for making and sharing food, such as lidded baking dishes, large bowls, platters/serving trays, and a tiered dessert tray. Erica will begin each class with a demonstration, after which students will receive one-on-one instruction while working independently. Students will improve their foundational skills while also exploring more advanced forms.
This is a project-based class. Students should be prepared to watch demonstrations and follow along with Erica, who will focus on one aspect of the process each week.
