Description
Ned will demonstrate various building methods and processes relevant to student interests, including slab building, pinching, coiling, and additive/subtractive techniques. Ned will begin each class with a demonstration and discussion that builds upon each student’s skill level and knowledge, followed by individual instruction as students work independently. These demonstrations will help students plan, make, and complete their personal projects. Students will also learn glazing/finishing techniques related to hand-built forms.
Students are encouraged to explore and experiment with different building methods, which can be combined with wheel-thrown forms.
