Description
Join Lindsey Howarth in a class focused on collaring thrown ceramic forms. Students will be guided through the entire process, starting with throwing even-walled cylinders, learning how to use a throwing stick, and pulling narrow, tall necks. Students will learn to trim their pieces by making their own trimming chucks. Glaze design and application will also be discussed. Lindsey will begin each class with a demonstration, after which students receive one-on-one instruction while working independently. Through repetition, students will learn to master collaring techniques and learn how to create various ceramic shapes.
