All work must be legibly signed.

Those renting kilns must provide visual documentation of the clay used that shows the appropriate firing temperatures. We cannot fire your work without this documentation.

There is a minimum of a one week turn around for bisque firings.

Kiln rentals include unpacking of work, loading, firing, unloading, and repacking work. Those renting kilns are not permitted to load, fire or unload the kiln themselves.

You must schedule a kiln rental ahead of time with our studio manager. Drop off/pick up procedures and dates will be discussed ahead of time. No walk in rentals are permitted.

Individuals renting kiln space are responsible for transporting work to the studio and then picking it up once fired.

Payment must be made at drop off and there is no refund available for breakage, cracking, explosion or imperfect firing of any kind.

Managers have the right to reject pieces that are not safe to fire.

Chases Garage is not responsible for broken pieces and will not fire pieces that are broken before they go into the kiln.

Chases Garage is not responsible for missing/lost work if pieces are not legibly signed.

Please note that we will hold your work for 30 days; if this time has elapsed with no communication from you, your work will become property of Chases Garage and be donated or thrown away.

The prices indicated are for standard slow firing cycles. Any firings with special requirements such as ramp/ holds or customized program firings are subject to additional fees.

The renter is responsible for any shelf or kiln damage caused from poor construction or wrong information of firing temperature of clay.

We DO NOT FIRE the following: glass, items stuffed with paper, metal, or any other non-clay items

Please know that Chases Garage cares about you and your finished product. We will do everything in our power to make sure your work gets fired correctly, but ultimately are not responsible for any loss, damaged, broken, cracked, or exploded pieces, undesirable glaze results including: shivering, bloating, pin holing, crazing, crawling or discoloration.
