HOW TO READ THE KILN SCHEDULE

The first day the kiln is signed out is the day we START the kiln.

Kilns get loaded anywhere from 2-5 days prior to the START date. Plan ahead! Put pieces on the proper shelves in the kiln shed well in advance.

All kilns are signed out for a minimum of 4 days to avoid double booking firings. Kilns are NOT guaranteed to be unloaded on the last day they are signed out on the calendar, we will post on instagram when each kiln is unloaded. Please do not assume kilns have been unloaded based on the calendar.

TURNAROUND TIME + PLANNING AHEAD

2 week minimum turnaround time for bisque kilns

6 week minimum turnaround time for glaze kilns

Please note that we allocate kiln space fairly amongst staff, students, and members. If you are making work for a show or event with a deadline, you must give yourself the proper amount of time to realistically get your work processed through both kilns.
